national immunization awareness month

August is National Immunization Awareness Month.  As elementary, middle, high school and college students start the fall semester, and flu season is on the horizon, it’s time to think about vaccinations–for children and adults.  Visit the CDC’s website to learn more about vaccines required for schoolchildren and vaccines recommended to adults based on age, lifestyle, and travel.  Employers, take note: your health insurance carrier may offer flu vaccines for free or sponsor flu shot clinics at your workplace.  Contact your broker or carrier representative to learn more.
