Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute Fees Due July 31, 2018
Organizations with self-insured plans, including Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs) and certain Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), must pay the Comparative Effectiveness Research Fee (CERF) every year (AKA: "PCORI Fee"). This fee is part of the Affordable Care Act and funds the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). It is due to the IRS via Form 720 by July 31, 2018 for the 2017 ERISA plan year.

2018 Fees
Plan year start date: February 1, 2016 - October 1, 2016: $2.26 per average covered life
Plan year start date: November 1, 2016-January 1, 2017: $2.39 per average covered life
